Description
So my fishing trip to Florida didn't go as planned. I was told by my Aunt who I was visiting that they lived right on a lake. So I loaded my self up with all my bass fishing gear and expected to have a good week of Bass Fishing. Was I mistaken. The lived on a brackish lake that connected to Port Charlotte and was full of big Saltwater fish that I was prepared for. Plus the 12' gator made me a little nervous as well. So bummed out I started searching for a Party Boat to take me out and it least get some fishing in. I found one to take us out on a day long trip to catch anything that was swimming in the water. It was myself, my Uncle Ron and about 16 other people on the trip. It ended up being a great day. Between my Uncle and I we caught around 50 fish. We caught White Grunts, Triggerfish, Porgies and Groupers. We took home 18 Grunts and Porgies to eat, oh and they tasted so good. The Groupers had to be 22" to keep and the biggest I caught was 18". Next time I head down I will be more planned out to do some bass fishing. But for my first ever saltwater adventure I had a great time. Oh and also had Dolphins swimming next to us on our way out to sea. That had to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen!
