Description
Chase N' Tails Fishing Charters Windy days and negative low tides had made it a little tough. If you can get to where you want to fish before the low tide you can get into some great action.I have been finding redfish in the creeks with muddy bottom and around oyster bars target Fillmans bayou,Bayport,Jenkins creek, and Higgenbotham creek. The reds have been in schools of a dozen or two and slot to over the slot 30" plus inches we have been catching them on topwaters in the morning and soft plastic jerk baits during the day for the live bait anglers try green backs, pinfish, and cut mullet the only place that i have been seeing greens is in Hudson beach right at the no wake sign. The trout action is fantastic all day long in 1-4 feet of water basically the same places where you would find redfish rocks, oyster bars, grass, and flat hard bottom. We have been limiting out on my past charters this week in about 1-2 hours yah that quick and they are Big i mean trout up to 26" and solid 6 to 7 pounders thay are FAT.We allways practice catch and release on all saltwater game fish if you are gonna keep any fish just keep anuf for a dinner and let the rest.I would use a loud topwater lure in the morning for the trout and soft plastic in the afternoon white jerk baits have produce the best action. The trout are in large schools i was out today and i seen trout in school of 50 or more thay are all over the place. We have also been catching pompano in the same areas as the trout and on the same lure as well they are ranging from 12-20".If you need any tips on what to use for these fish stop in at PRECISION TACKLE in Spring Hill on US 19 and talk to Dave Davidson he will lead you in the right way.All in all if you can get around the low tides and windy days the fishing is great so Book A Trip with Capt. Josh and lets get out there and tear them up. Tight lines Capt.Josh Fritz Chase N' Tails Fishing Charters 727-856-2326 352-232-0639
