Description


	Local Temps have raised slightly since my attempted day of fishing friday, So Bryan and I decided to do some Lake fishing. bryan recently got permission for us to fish a local private lake (which i have chosen not to name on my report) where i used to fish as a teenager. I havent fished this lake regularly since I was 15 years old, and havent fished it at all since I was 18, so I was very excited about getting back out there for some winter bass action! This private lake was one of the places where i fell in love with the sport of fishing as a teenager. We used to spend entire days catching bass, then pitch a tent, build a fire, and catch Catfish from the bank all night. unfortunately today the guy Bryan gained permission from wasnt at home early on this morning so we went and fished our home Lake (G.C.Lake) until the gentleman returned Bryans call and told us to come on out. We loaded the boat back on the trailor and headed for the private waters where i had caught so many fish so many years ago! today proved to be a slow day for Bass bites, but it was great just to be back on the lake I once considered to be my "home Waters". I ended the day with 2 small largemouth bass i caught on spinnerbaits, and Bryan got to take the ol' "goose egg" home today. all in all we had a good time though and look forward to going out again soon. I will say this much...Winter Bass Fishing definately is not for the faint hearted. ( I have included some pics of this private lake and i intend to do a blog soon giving you more information about the history of the lake, and my history fishing it as a younger man).

Looks like a good lake my friend. Those private ponds are a lot of fun to fish and it's nice to hear you are getting to fish it again! Hopefully come spring time you will be pulling lunkers out of there! Thanks for sharing it with us brother!

awesome man, i agree, great report... i have a few spots like that where i know as soon as i get home, ill head over there and so many memories will just start f looding my head from the past... love fishing for many reasons, thats one of them
