Fishing Tips
Pine Island Sound Bay - When fishing a grub on a jig head in salt water you need to pause before setting the hook. I missed a few because I had too quick of a hook-set. With Spotted Seatrout you need to let em take it.
Islamorada Bridges Channel - Live shrimp and circle hooks. Fishing during tidal shifts produced good results.
Lake Otsego - Bass, Pike, Perch, Walleye, Bluegills, Rockbass
Stops Charters Bay - We always use Stops Charters. Always a great time with Capt John. Reds, Drum, Cats, Whitefish, Pompano and so many more species. http://www.stopsmarinecharters.com/strike.html
Hiway 41aligator Alley Estuary - Many places to drop a line for Oscars and Alligator Gar. Watch out for alligators, they are very aggressive in this area. Channels can be fished from roadside.
Lovers Key Bay - Live shrimp. 1 oz weight on bottom, 2 - 3 ft leader 2ft up with circle hook. Sail cats, reds, pompano
Back Of Biloxi Bay - Live shrimp work best. 1 - 3 oz weight on bottom, tie 2 ft leaders 18" and 30" up from weight, circle hooks. Doubles are common.
Muskegan Lake Harbour - Port city. Freighters can create 3 ft wake so keep your eyes open. Pike, walleye and perch. Salmon and trout run upstream on the Muskegon River to spawn.
