It's tooooo hot, tooo hot, tooooooo hot lad..... You get it. Pretty sure it hit 100 today, if not it was damn near close, or maybe hotter? Either way just casting a frog made me sweat profusely. I'm pretty sure I sweat off 10 pounds today walking the swamp. But the fishing was good for me atleast, my buddy Wilder... not so much. Got there at around 3:30pm and walked around throwing mostly wacky rigged worms. All the fish were mostly behind the pads casting from shore, again I only managed to catch one that was a pound. Around 6 we started heading back to the cars, thinking I was going to call it a day and I was out of water which on a day like today was, is no good, so I drove around for an hour picked up some things i needed and figured I should go back and finish what I started lol I just could not help myself, I started right where we had left off and worked my way around the rest of the lake picking up 4 more fish. Still the turkey swamp monsters are eluding me, but their little buddies are still fun to catch. I'm sure I'll end up back there tomorrow in the heat again, and with alot more water.
