We hit up Bottle Tree Park this weekend.  Showed up and realized the pond was shut for a fishing competition, which we didn't particularly want to participate in.  Butttt we just spent $20 on the cab ride over so we figured we should spend the xtra cash on the competition and just enjoy ourselves.

Turned out to be a good time, as we won a free reel and shirt for the first catch (I landed the redtail catfish after 2 minutes of starting).  We then got annoyed by the crowd in our area and decided we would be better off moving across the pond, just in time bc the sky opened up and poured.

I ended up with a few more walking catfish, but then on the last fish of the day my pole snapped in half.  Wasn't even that big and it was a dam walking cat too.... bad luck.  Need to head back though to pick up my reel and shirt...  starting a collection of Asian fishing shirts.
