March is a tough time here in Ontario.
Ice fishing is coming to an end, and most rivers are still either frozen, or blown out from melting snow and rain storms
Needless to say, we had some extremely warm weather, and we had the itch to get out for steelhead.
We started at about 6am. It was cold, and nothing much was happening.
In the afternoon from about 1 to 4 pm after the water had warmed up some, we had a hayday with the steelhead!
Single salmon eggs in chartreuse bags were the ticket!
