Nothing was as hot as this past July on famed Lake El Salto, and trust me, it wasn’t the temperatures that were smoking. The anglers visiting Anglers Inn, completed one of the best July’s that I can remember.
Anglers Inn International has played host to many celebrities including Joe Thomas, host of the Outdoor Channel’s Reel in the Outdoors, and Dennis Braid, host of Monster Fish. Reel in the Outdoors and Anglers Inn International was featured on the Outdoor Channel August 27, 2010.
During July they had anglers from every level, and each of them was highly successful. Part of the success was partly due to the lake level falling to drastically low levels, concentrating many of the larger fish into smaller areas. With water temperatures rising, the guides focused on putting anglers on big fish.
The color that I heard from the dock, as it typically is, was black and blue. I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but the 10-inch black and blue PowerBait Power Worm is one of the best baits to bring when you are coming to El Salto. However, a pattern developed around mid-summer that produced fish – flipping trees with black jigs with a 4-inch black/blue fleck crawfish trailer. This technique was simple to perfect, and anglers not only caught numbers, but the big fish really crushed this presentation.
One of our longtime clients, Mike Yoke, brought a group down to fish toward the end of July, and to say the least, they had an unbelievable time.
“To me the fishing with Anglers Inn International isn’t about the catching, because when you go to El Salto with Billy Chapman Jr. you will catch fish, it is about the service and attention to detail that you get whether you’ve been with him 18 times or if you are on your first trip. The entire staff of Anglers Inn International goes beyond what is necessary to make sure you feel like you are at home.” – Mike Yoke
Mike was here with a group of 13 and the majority of his party has already rebooked to visit us again.
With a break in the schedule, the Anglers Inn International staff has been busy around the lodge preparing for an exciting 2010-2011 season, which opens October 1, 2010 for Lake El Salto and Saltwater Fishing. The Lake Mateos season begins on November 1, 2010.
The fall is the perfect time to get away for numbers and big bass. The lake has already risen 30 feet, and with lake levels up it should concentrate those bass along long points, perfect for topwater baits, crankbaits and Rattle Traps.
This new season for Anglers Inn has brought on a few changes that should excite any angler. They are preparing to roll out reduced priced packages, of course the same great service is guaranteed with every trip booked with Anglers Inn International. The prices are reduced so anyone can come enjoy a few days of relaxation while catching world-class fish. Potential anglers can visit www.mexico-bass.com to find out more about these exciting new offers.
Their staff is widely known to be the best and at Anglers Inn International they pride themselves on great service. We want any angler or non-angler to come enjoy the great amenities that they have to offer.
For more than two decades, the saltwater fishing has been a very important venue on their menu. They've hosted saltwater anglers, writers and TV personalities such as Joe Thomas (Outdoor Channel), Michael Pearce (writer for Wall Street Journal and Robb Report), Alan Warren (Alan Warren Outdoors), Keith "Catfish" Sutton, James Hall editor of ESPN Saltwater Magazine, etc. They now have their own fleet and support vehicles to do light tackle, bill fishing and coming soon they’ll have kayak fishing and surf fishing. This expansion has been in the making for a couple of years and now they are in better position to serve the sportsmen and their families.
Anglers Inn Offshore, VIP Dock and facilities at the Marina Mazatlan are first class, providing the same unparalleled service that has become synonymous with Anglers Inn operations. The bottom line is that Anglers Inn International and its affiliates can handle every conceivable family sportsman vacation.
We also have an Anglers Inn Sportsman's Club Family Vacation Specialist and a Travel Specialist to assist you in every aspect of your vacation. Give us one shot at your family vacation.
