I am an avid Bass and Steelhead fisherman. I have used some type of log or journal for years and find them indespensable in some cases. When I am fishing a Bass tournament I find the information very helpful. Now that I have GPS on my boat I am sure that it as well as the logs will be invaluable.

I have been tournament fishing for several years and have yet to loose a ranking because I've shared information with a friend or fellow competitor. If you think about it; a log is based on past history and how many times have you consistanly caught fish year in and year out using the same techniques in the same spots, not very often I bet. Fishing is a sport of constant learning; sharing a log with others can and is an excellant way to continue that learning curve, help our sport grow by sharing with others if we stay tight lipped the sport we all love will diminish and die, we don't want nor need that! Keep a tight line on em!!
