that is really true man, i dont have kids yet, but when i do, they will become really familiar with the outdoors... i think its key to growing up balanced, especially now adays with all the technology and everything, to spend some time away from it all is really nice! also like you said they are not only the fishermen of the future, but also the state officials or game officials who are making decisions on how to manage fisheries for the generations to come... we need to make sure everyone understands outdoor sports and why they are so important to maintain and manage

Joe doesn't have any kids so he could borrow mine so i could get a nap in every so often. lol ok so maybe i don't mean that, but you are right. take your kids out and let them roam. my little one loves throwing rocks in the water while my big one is fishing...it ticks him off but they're bonding and nothing could beat that! just his morn i promised my kids tha tonce it gets nicer i'll take them on fridays after work...they'll hold me down to and they should. and if all else fails get them bass fishing for wii lol
